TECH TO VETS

This holiday season and beyond, I am hoping you can help me make a difference. I would like to make the season truly special for our local Veterans in Los Angeles. Each day on my way to and from school, I pass the VA facilities, as well as dozens of homeless Veterans.  I have wanted to find a way to help them. I would truly like to do something of significance. 

 

Unfortunately, due to many reasons and exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic, many Veterans at the VA are forced to stay indoors all day, with no contact with the outside world. As one can imagine, this would be very lonely and extremely isolating.

 

Having access to the outside world or being able to connect with family / friends virtually is something I believe is extremely important and necessary. I can't imagine not being able to communicate with my friends.

 

Today, this ability to connect is something that many Veterans do not have the opportunity to do. Therefore, I have started TECH TO VETS. I am gathering technology (used tablets, phones, and computers) to distribute to these Veterans to make their holiday/ quarantine a little bit better. 

 

Let me know if you can make any sort of contribution whether it is electronics or a donation, anything helps!

With the donations collected, I will be purchasing new tablets for the Veterans.
